You've named the one door it has to come through. And now you're sitting in the anxiety of it not happening on your terms.

Here's the thing: that death grip you’ve got on how it’s gotta be is the problem.

Freedom Heartsong said it plainly on Chris’ heartdea13r podcast: stop obsessing over the how. Drop the like/dislike, surrender the path, and let the outcome show up however it wants to. Call it whatever you want. The mechanism is the same. Every ounce of energy you spend controlling the how is energy stolen from the work.

I go through this constantly in my own creative life. It’s gotta be this specific thing, or that specific thing. And then when Chris reminds me to remember to go with the flow, I remember to unclench my ass.

So name the one outcome you're white-knuckling right now. Set it down. Do the single concrete thing in front of you. Send the one email. Finish the one mix. Book the one show. But then, and I cannot stress this part enough, let the rest land where it lands.

The work is yours, the inputs are yours. The outcome isn't.
